Veterinary Administrative Assistant Program Overiew

The Veterinary Administrative Assistant program at Eastern College’s Halifax campus combines administrative training with hands-on clinical experience that prepares you for a career in the veterinary care field.

As a Veterinary Administrative Assistant you will handle client communication as well as provide nursing assistance to veterinarians.  During this program you will learn about:

  • Small Animal Nutrition
  • Small and Large animal medicine
  • Small animal breeds and their behaviours
  • Medical terminology
  • Veterinary office procedures
  • Level I bookkeeping
