Start your medical career in a beautiful location with a high-quality and affordable program.

Saba University should be your first choice for a medical education abroad. Situated in the Caribbean on the “Unspoiled Queen of the Caribbean”, it is accessible and offers students the opportunity to study in a location that is home to natural beauty.

Alongside a fantastic location, our Basic Sciences curriculum is designed to provide students with all the necessary knowledge and skills to thrive in the medical school environment. At our state-of-the-art facilities, you will be taught through a series of lectures and labs to increase our understanding of the human body and how it is affected by disease and illness. As a result of our excellent curriculum, which includes the most contemporary medical practices and research, our students have consistently maintained an average first-time pass rate of 99% on the USMLE Step 1.

Additionally, they have also gone on to access residencies at some of the best hospitals in North America.

For the first five semesters of your medical training you will study on Saba Island. For semesters six to ten you will return to the U.S. for clinicals. and then place into a residency position.

Saba University has three intakes (January, May and September) per year to provide students with the flexibility to start the program at a time that suits them. Our fees are comparatively more affordable than North American medical schools, but our curriculum is of the same quality as attested to by our accreditation from Accreditation Organization for the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO),  as well as our students performance on key licensing exams. This body uses similar standards to bodies that accredit medical schools in the US and Canada.
