To address Ontario’s Personal Support Worker Shortage, the Ontario government is providing grants up to $13,235 to new students.
Pharmacy Technical Assistants work under the supervision of pharmacists to provide customer service, medication and other health care products to clients. Some of their duties may include maintaining prescription records, maintaining inventory and may also be responsible for supervising other pharmacy staff.
The Pharmacy Technical Assistant program at Herzing College provides an overview of the theory, principles, and practices of the pharmacy technician and include training in how to accurately and safely process prescriptions, controlling inventory, keeping accurate and confidential records, about aseptic techniques, and third-party billing.
