Help healing though touch.  Whether helping to reduce stress or providing relief for muscle conditions, Massage Therapy has become increasingly important for the health and wellness.

Massage Therapy Program Overview

At Eastern College, the Massage Therapy courses will teach you the technical massage skills you need as well as best business practices.  You will learn:

  • Medical Terminology
  • Anatomy Physiology and pathology
  • Histology
  • Osteology (study of bones)
  • Arthrology (study of anatomy and treatment of joints)
  • Myology (study of the muscular system)
  • Cardiology
  • Respiratory System
  • Introduction to Neurology
  • About the Endocrine, Gastrointestinal, Urinary, Reproductive and Lymphatic and Immune systems
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Nutrition

You will also participate in a field placement where you will be able to apply what you learned into practice.

The Massage Therapy program at Eastern College is recognized by:

 

  • The Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS)
  • The Association of New Brunswick Massage Therapists (ANBMT)
  • The New Brunswick Massotherapy Association (NBMA) and
  • The Newfoundland and Labrador Massage Therapist Association (NLMTA)
