Legal Administrative Assistant

W orking as a Legal Administrative Assistant, also known as a legal secretary, can be interesting and challenging and is often one of the highest paid office administration positions.

No previous office administration experience is required as the intensive Legal Administrative Assistant program covers all aspects of working in a law office.

You will learn how a legal office runs and the specific administrative duties required. Advanced keyboarding, transcription and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) are all part of the curriculum.

One of the most valuable aspects of a Legal Administrative Assistant is their familiarity with the Canadian legal system. During this program, you learn about the court structure and legal rights. Courses also cover all forms of law: corporate and commercial, family, criminal, real estate and conveyance, and wills and estates.

Following a practicum, upon graduation you will receive a Legal Administrative Assistant Diploma and can also choose to further your training by entering the Paralegal program.

Contact Vancouver Career College today to get detailed information about the Legal Administrative Assistant program, admission requirements, tuition fees, tuition assistant programs, class schedules, and career and job placement information.
