A web designer works with a client to create the graphical presentation (look-and-feel) of a web site. Web designers typically do not program or maintain a web site’s database; rather they are involved in the visual presentation of a site, such as graphical layout, animation and how a user interacts or uses a web site.

Web Designer and Graphic Design for Web Sites (NWE.1T) 

The Web Designer program prepares students using an integrated approach to web site design.

Courses in the this Graphic Design for Web program include:

  • Internet and e-business concepts such as SEO, PPC, Google Analytics and Google AdWords
  • HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
  • Web design fundamentals
  • Scripting language such as JavaScript™
  • Web graphic software such as Photoshop® and Dreamweaver®

This program is available in English only at Herzing College’s Montreal Campus.  It is also offered online through the Flex-Ed program format.
