TD Scholarships for Community Leadership are awarded to students in their last year of high school or CEGEP (in Quebec) who have demonstrated leadership in improving their community.
Special events such as festivals, exhibitions, conferences, meetings, sporting events to name a few, take place every day and takes someone to coordinate and pull it together. Large events such as these require event managers and event coordinators to spend many hours planning and preparing every detail of the event so the attendees or audience can enjoy the event.
The courses in the Event Management Diploma program are designed to prepare you to enter the professional and corporate world of special event planning.
LaSalle College Vancouver and the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council (CTHRC) have analyzed and compared the Event Management diploma program to the Occupational Knowledge component of the Tourism Certified Professional - Event Coordinator (TCP-EVC) certification program and found the programs to be equivalent. As a result, the two organizations as well as go2, who is the provincial partner of the CTHRC and delivery agent of Emerit tourism training and certification in the province of British Columbia, have entered into an articulation agreement.
