Becoming a Level 3 Electrical Apprentice is one of the last steps required to become an Electrician in British Columbia.

Electrician Common Core – Level 3 Accelerated Certificate Information 

The SkilledTradesBC approved Construction Electrician modular program provides opportunities for Electrical Apprentice’s to gain employable skills and provides BC’s employers with a highly trained and experienced workforce.

The Level 3 Electrical Apprentice module, is the third year theoretical and hands-on training component of the four-year program. Successful completion of the certificate requirements will earn students certification as a fourth year apprentice.

In this Level 3 program you will learn three-phase AC theory, digital electronics, AC/DC motor theory and the Canadian Electrical Code. The designated ITA funding is only applicable for registered active sponsored apprentices.

After completion of the Level 3 courses, you will be able to:

• Solve problems using technical mathematics
• Use Electrical Circuit Concepts
• Analyze Three-Phase AC Circuits
• Analyze Electronic Circuits
• Use Three-Phase testing equipment
• Apply the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) Regulations and Standards
• Analyze D.C. Generators and Motors
• Analyze Single-Phase Alternators and Motors
• Analyze Three-Phase Alternators and Motors
• Understand Three-Phase Distribution Centres
• Install magnetic and electronic motor controls
• Install Three-Phase Transformers
