A Denturist specializes in removable oral prostheses and supplies denture care directly to a patient and also have the ability to fabricate dentures in their own clinic.
This Denturist program is the only program accredited in British Columbia and one of three programs in Canada approved by the Denturist Association of Canada.
The courses in the Denturist program offer you solid theoretical foundation and comprehensive skills-based training, so that you will be able to practice as independent, licensed Denturist. The training covers the complete scope of practice in clinical and laboratory environments. Topics include assessing, diagnosing, designing, fabricating and inserting both complete and partial removable dentures. dentures on implants, and how to manage a practice. You will also gain clinical experience in the onsite clinic.
Upon successful completion of the program, you will be eligible to sit the College of Denturists of British Columbia (CDBC) Licensing Examination. All denturists who have passed the licensing exam must be registered with their regulatory college and can then use the reserved title of Registered Denturist (RD).
