Construction Electrician – Level 2 Accelerated Certificate Program Information

The Construction Electrician - Level 2 certificate is the second year theoretical and hands-on training component of the four-year program with students receiving certification as a third year apprentice.

Students will learn single-phase AC theory, advanced motor control, advanced electronics and the Canadian Electrical Code.

Construction Electrician Level 2 Courses Include:

  • Solve Problems using Applied Mathematics
  • Electrical Circuit Concepts—Part 2
  • Analyze Single Phase AC Circuits
  • Electronic Circuits—Part 2
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Protective Devices
  • Lighting and Lighting Controls
  • Connect and Maintain Transformers
  • Magnetic Motor Controls—Part 2

The Math for Trades program is available to help students build a foundation of math skills required for various trade applications.

Note:  Students must be a sponsored apprentice registered with ITA prior to starting the program and writing the ITA-BC Certification Exam.
