Central Career School (CCS), in South Plainfield, New Jersey serves students from Middlesex, Somerset and Union counties. Central Career School offers career-focused training in health care fields such as Dental Assisting and Medical Billing & Coding, Computer Networking and Office Administration.

Central Career School's Dental Assistant Program provides you with knowledge and hands-on skills while sitting in on examinations, cleanings, and other dental services, assisting under the supervision of a licensed dentist. Upon completion of the Dental Assisting program, you will be eligible to sit for the dental radiography examination which is required by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection for issuance of a dental radiography license.
You will learn to work in ambulatory settings as well as how to perform administrative and clinical duties. You will study anatomy, medical terminology, medical records, medical insurance, electrocardiograms (EKG), phlebotomy and how to perform basic laboratory procedures and tests. As part of the Medical Assistant program, you will also complete a supervised clinical externship at a medical facility.
Central Career School's Medical Billing and Coding program focuses on the financial and insurance-related aspects of working in a medical office. You will acquire specialized knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, insurance billing and coding systems, computerized patient accounting, and computer skills.
Courses in the Administrative Assistant program are designed to help teach you the skills you’ll need as a business administrative professional including Microsoft Office applications, web design, business management, computerized accounting, bookkeeping, internet marketing and more. As part of this, you will complete a supervised externship in an office to practice the skills you learn in the classroom.
Central Career School’s Computer Network & Security program is designed to provide you with the skills you need to seek positions in the Information Technology field such as IT Technician, IT Support Specialist, Security Systems Administration and Troubleshooting, Client and Server Operating Systems Administration, Database Administration and Desktop Support Technician.
The curriculum covers an Introduction to Operating Systems, MS Office, Web Design, MCTS Windows Server Configuration, Network Infrastructure and Server Administration, CompTIA A+, Security+, and Network+, Linux Operating System, and Cisco Certified Network Associate.
