HVAC

You are here

HVAC training will help you learn a skilled trade so you can build a stable and successful career.  Very few employers have the luxury of providing on-the-job training so they prefer applicants who have some level of education through a career, community college or vocational trade school.  HVAC systems have become increasingly complex, which makes it even more important to have formal HVAC training.

What does HVAC and HVAC-R Mean?

These are industry standard acronyms; HVAC is heating, ventilation and air conditioning and the R is for refrigeration.

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning is an essential industry! We all rely on HVAC experts to main comfortable environments in which we live and work, which is why HVAC schools offer such important training. They train tradespeople to install, repair, and maintain, equipment such as furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners and ventilation systems.

Why You Should Consider a Career in HVAC

Some reasons why the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industry is a good career choice :

Great Income potential

  • In Canada, the median annual salary for HVAC or refrigeration technicians is over $55,000*
