If you are a numbers person consider a career in accounting, bookkeeping or payroll. The Business Accounting & Payroll diploma program at Anderson College offers accelerated accounting courses that provide business foundations as well as best practices for operating a successful business.

The Business Accounting and Payroll program takes a practical approach to studying bookkeeping, accounting methods and tax fundamentals.  Students explore best practices for accounting in business.

As an Accounting & Payroll professional, you will work under the supervision of accountants within established procedures, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations including processing of accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer invoicing, and various accounts reconciliation. You may also be responsible for managing government remittances including GST, QST, HST, WSIB, and source deductions.

Other duties may include the preparation of operating budgets, calculating, preparing and distributing wages, calculating overtime and deductions
