The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs at Yorkville University are designed to prepare you to work in business or management and provide practical knowledge that can be applied in real business settings.

You will be challenged to demonstrate your understanding of concepts and theories using a variety of methodologies including case studies, online simulations, and major projects.

All Yorkville University programs are offered online without a required residency component.

General Bachelor of Business Administration Degree

Many management level positions require a bachelor’s degree. Yorkville University’s BBA provides a broad-spectrum of business education to those seeking career advancement.

This program allows students to transfer previous academic credits towards elective courses and finish in as few as 2.5 years depending on their course load and/or number of transfer credits from previous post-secondary study.

Bachelor of Business Administration Specializations

The Bachelor of Business Administration program at Yorkville University allows you the opportunity to acquire detailed knowledge in specific areas of the discipline through the delivery of four areas of specializations. Each specialization comprises of five dedicated courses designed to build a set of core competencies.  Specializations include:


The Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting is designed to provide you with the technical and analytical skills required for a career in accounting.

You will develop skills in analyzing financial statements and learn how managers use accounting information to make effective business decisions

Supply Chain Management

The Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Supply Chain Management provides you with the opportunity to gain specialized knowledge from purchasing through sales and distribution.

Topics in this program include:

  • How to improve speed to market
  • Enabling online purchasing/supply chain functions
  • Production, distribution and logistics systems
  • Inventory management
  • Enterprise system evaluation and supplier selection
  • Outsourcing and partnership options
  • Bidding and negotiations
  • Contracts

Project Management

You will have the opportunity to gain specialized knowledge in project management fundamentals and terminology.  Some of the other project management courses will give you the opportunity to:

  • Work through all elements of the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide)
  • Take part in the examination of planning processes during the project life cycle
  • Collaborate with others to appraise the content and format of project management plans for small, medium and large projects
  • Clarify the scope, schedule, cost and resources necessary for a sample project

Energy Management

In the Energy Management specialization you will have the opportunity to:

  • Acquire specialized knowledge in federal and provincial government policy and regulation affecting the energy industry
  • Gain an understanding of the oil, natural gas and electricity markets, with a focus on how supply and demand factors influence energy prices
  • Learn about the decision-making role of the operations manager in transforming organizational inputs into desired outputs with analysis of the issues of designing, scheduling, operating and controlling the production system.
  • Acquire an understanding of the complexities of international energy markets, and the impact of global government policy on energy development
