Education Doesn’t End After Graduation
The evolving job market is the reason many people should stay ahead of the curve by continuing their education even after entering the job market.
Career Coach and founder of CareerJoy, Alan Kearns explains, “I would say more than ever that its pretty much becoming a fact that continuing education is expected or demanded in career progression”
Continuing education includes not only formal education through colleges and universities, but through associations, organizations, on-line programs and courses, reading blogs and trade publications.
Besides formal education, another valuable area of self-improvement is taking courses that help one manage how to respond to conflict or stress. “These days to perform well and have career longevity, you need to develop multiple intelligences, including emotional intelligence” said Shirin Khamisa, career counselor and founder of Careers by Design Coaching.
