To address Ontario’s Personal Support Worker Shortage, the Ontario government is providing grants up to $13,235 to new students.
Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, which has been practiced in Asia for centuries, is increasingly recognized in the West as a legitimate and beneficial treatment option and is also often covered by extended health benefit providers.
The Chinese Acupuncture courses at Reeves College are designed to meet the needs of health care professionals who wish to broaden their knowledge in order to increase their clientele, acupuncturists from other provinces and countries who wish to further their studies in Alberta, and individuals who are completely new to the field, but have a genuine interest in acupuncture.
The Acupuncture program is a unique program that consists of courses in acupuncture, tuina massage, and western medicine and is a condensed version of the 5-year programs offered in TCM universities in China. Students gain a strong understanding of Eastern philosophy as it applies to Western medicine, with lessons on human physiology, structural anatomy and the human body’s systems and their relationships with each other.
