About Albany College of Pharmacy
Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with two campuses; one in Albany, New York, and one in Colchester, Vermont, offers a variety of degree programs designed to prepare students for a career in pharmacy and other health related areas.
Currently enrolled at the College are approximately 1,400 students with more than 150 full and part-time faculty members.
ACPHS has long been regarded for its Doctor of Pharmacy program, which remains the school’s core program. It now offers five bachelor’s programs and five master’s programs in the health sciences.

Doctor of Pharmacy
Courses are taught on both campuses using a mix of in-person and virtual lectures. This flexible teaching format enables ACPHS to deliver a current and relevant curriculum that leverages faculty expertise from both campuses.
Accreditation
Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences holds accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), which is an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation. The curriculum of each undergraduate or graduate program is approved by the New York State Department of Education.
The below ACPHS programs are accredited separately. The length of each accreditation cycle is determined by the respective accrediting body.
Doctor of Pharmacy (PHARM.D.)
The College’s Doctor of Pharmacy program holds accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
Clinical Laboratory Sciences
The College’s Clinical Laboratory Sciences programs hold accreditation from the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NACCLS), and are accredited through 2019.
Cytotechnology
The College's Cytotechnology program holds accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Cytotechnology Program Advisory Committee of the American Society of Cytopathology and is accredited through 2025.
